Buried Alive

The Bukit Antarabangsa landslide disaster yesterday, claiming at least five lives, injuring at least 15 and dislocating thousands of residents after destroying 14 bungalows, is sheer criminal negligence after the Highland Towers tragedy which killed 48 people 15 years ago.

Clearly, the lessons of the Highland Towers tragedy 15 years ago have not been learnt by anyone, least of all the various government agencies, whether at the federal, state or local government level.

a very tragic mishap that no one would ever want to experience..

i myself couldn’t help but to agree that none had taken things seriously especially after the Highland Towers tragedy. it’s like the screams of those who died in that tragedy had no effect on how reckless the government’s  judgments  were.. So in my opinion, mother nature decides to strike back and show them who’s the boss of who when there’s no respect shown to the dirt we step on!

Why cram in more projects when there’s empty lots scattered  in Bukit Beruntung waiting to be fully develop? We’re wasting more lands and i think we should preserve the hills.. It’s not a safe place compared to others and everyone knows that! Let the trees grow!!!
